To get the most out of your Avive Connect AED, ensure its operating on the latest versions of both its AED Software and Connectivity Software. Your Avive Connect AED should receive remote software updates automatically as they become available if it is at least 50% charged and connected to Wi-Fi or cell.
Tips on Software Updates:
To receive remote software updates quickly and efficiently, you should:
- Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi (for faster downloads).
- Ensure your device’s battery is charged.
- Ensure there are no active device Issue Types.
- Ensure your REALConnect subscription is active.
To check for an available software update on your device,
- Navigate to the Your Device menu on the home screen of your Avive Connect AED.
- Select Device Details > Software.
- Press the Check for Updates Button.
- If both the AED Software and Connectivity Software is up to date, you will see green checkmark icons displayed.
- Wait for the device to connect and download the software. You will see the percentage incrementing as the device downloads the software. This may take a while depending on your connection speed.
- Once the download completes, your device will automatically install the Connectivity Software update. You may see your device screen reboot during this process. Note: If your device has multiple updates to complete, it will automatically start downloading the next one as well.
- If there is an AED Software Update, plug your device into the charger and press and hold the Power Button on the top of your device for 7 seconds to install it.
- If you are unable to plug your device into the charger, the AED software update will complete automatically during its nightly self-test.
