Replacing A Pad Cartridge

To remove a Pad Cartridge from your device: 

1. Firmly pull back and lift up both tabs on the back of the device to release the cartridge.

To install a new Pad Cartridge: 

1. Install a new Pad Cartridge by first aligning the cartridge with the back of the AED. Push the cartridge firmly into the recess on the back of the AED.
2. Press down firmly on the red corners of the cartridge.
3. Press down firmly on the corners of the Pad Cartridge next to the two tabs. 
4. IMPORTANT: Make sure the cartridge is fully inserted around all sides of the AED by listening for and visually confirming that the two tabs on the back of the pad cartridge “click” into place.

The Red Tab on my Avive AED Pad Cartridge was pulled and it wasn't an emergency. What do I do now?

If you pulled the Red Tab and it wasn't an emergency and the packaged pads were NOT opened, you can reinsert your Red Tab. Please call support at 1 (800) 489- 4428 for tips and some instructions.

If the foil seal on the electrode pads have been opened, the Pad Cartridge will need to be replaced. To order a replacement pad cartridge, click here.

Only pull the Red Tab on your Avive AED Pad Cartridge during an emergency.
