Your device will arrive in Shipping Mode, a unique mode to save battery life while your device makes its way to your doorstep. Until you initialize it, the Status Light on your device will not blink, and your device will display as Setup Needed in REALConnect. Follow Step 1 to get your device set up, and Steps 2, 3, and 4 to get your AED program off to the right start.
- Remove your Avive Connect AED from the packaging and press the Power Button on the top of your device.

- Your device will run a few initialization self-tests to make sure it is ready to go. You will be prompted to press the Child Button and Español Button to ensure they are functioning properly.
- You will then be prompted to connect your device to Wi-Fi. It is recommended to connect your device to Wi-Fi for optimized battery life and connectivity features.
- You will be prompted to select a Power Mode.
- Low Power Mode is recommended for most users to optimize the battery life of your device. (Power Mode does not impact clinical functionality).
- High Power Mode is intended to help devices receive faster Nearby Emergency Alerts.
- Plug your device into its charger and let it charge overnight.
- Activate and log in to REALConnect. (Need help logging in?)
- Customize your REALConnect account.
