If your Avive Connect AED is Emergency Ready in REALConnect, or the Status Light on the device is blinking green, that means that your Pad Cartridge is ready to use! If there is any manual action required for your Pad Cartridge, your device will appear as Maintenance Required in REALConnect, the Status Light on your device will blink red, and you will see an exclamation mark notification on the top center of your device home screen.

No Pad Cartridge or Invalid Pad Cartridge – A valid Avive AED Pad Cartridge must be installed to operate the device.
To remove a Pad Cartridge from your device:
- Firmly pull back and lift up both tabs on the back of the device to release the cartridge.
To install a new Pad Cartridge:
- Install a new Pad Cartridge by first aligning the cartridge with the back of the AED. Push the cartridge firmly into the recess on the back of the AED.
- Press down firmly on the red corners of the cartridge.
- Press down firmly on the corners of the Pad Cartridge next to the two tabs.
- IMPORTANT: Make sure the cartridge is fully inserted around all sides of the AED by listening for and visually confirming that the two tabs on the back of the pad cartridge “click” into place.
