To get the most out of your Avive Connect AED, ensure its operating on the latest versions of both its AED Software and Connectivity Software. Your Avive Connect AED should receive remote software updates automatically as they become available if it is at least 50% charged and connected to Wi-Fi or cell.
Tips on Software Updates:
To receive remote software updates quickly and efficiently, you should:
- Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi (for faster downloads).
- Ensure your device’s battery is charged.
- Ensure there are no active device Issue Types.
- Ensure your REALConnect subscription is active.
Latest Software Versions
The latest AED Software Version is 1.0.2510.
The latest Connectivity Software Version is 2.5.
You can find this information on the screen of your Avive Connect AED, or for any of your devices remotely on the AED Detail page of your REALConnect Platform.
On your device screen, navigate to Your Device > Device Details > Software Updates to view which version your Avive Connect AED is operating on.
On your REALConnect, navigate to the AEDs detail page > Select the AED name > view its software version in the Product table on the right-hand side.
Check for Updates
If you want to see if there is a software update available on your device or prompt one outside of its nightly self-test:
- Navigate to Your Device > Device Details > Software Updates
- Select Check for Updates
- Your device will tell you if its software is up to date or if there is an update available to install.
- If there is an update available, plug your device into its charger and connect to Wi-Fi in order to receive it faster.
What is the latest software version of the Avive Connect AED?
To receive software updates quickly, you should:
- Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi
- Ensure your device is charged or plugged into its charger
- Ensure your device is in a fully functional health state
- Ensure your REALConnect subscription is active
To prompt a software update if you are do not see the "Check for Updates" button, you can prompt the software update manually. To do so, ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi, plugged into a charger, and in a fully functional health state. Perform a status check on your device by pressing and holding the Power Button for 5 seconds. The device will verbally tell you its status, and will check for any available software updates in the background.
How do I update the software on my Avive Connect AED without the Check for Updates button?
If you do not see a Check for Updates button on your device's screen when you navigate to Your Device > Device Details > Software, this means you are operating on an earlier software version. To update the software manually on your Avive Connect AED, perform the following steps:

Plug in and charge your device for at least 30 minutes. Keep your device on the charger for the following steps.

Navigate to Settings > Reboot Screen (or Reboot System) on your device's screen. If your screen is not turning on after pressing the black Display Button, click here for troubleshooting instructions.

Connect your device to Wi-Fi if possible for faster, more reliable updates.

Press and hold the Power Button on the top of the device for at least 7 seconds to prompt a Status Check. The device will visually and audibly tell you the current software version and status. If you hear the audio but do not see the software version appear on the screen, please contact Avive Customer Support using one of the methods below.

Your software should update after ~20 minutes. You may see the screen reboot during this process. If possible, leave your AED plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi overnight.
- On your device screen, navigate to Your Device > Device Details. Note the Connectivity Software version and AED Software version. You can find the latest software versions here.
