This article explains the difference between the lifesaving AED Battery and Connectivity Battery, the expected battery life, and when your device needs to be charged.
Expected Battery Life
The battery life for the Avive Connect AED depends on your Power Mode setting. For more information on Power Modes and expected battery life, see here.

Dual and Rechargeable Batteries
Your Avive Connect AED has two internal and rechargeable batteries; one for the life-saving AED functionality and one for the Screen and Connectivity features. This unique dual battery system ensures your AED’s life-saving battery can still be used in case of an emergency if the Screen and Connectivity battery is depleted. The battery performance of your Avive Connect AED are covered for the full warranty period.
When your AED has a Low Battery, the AED can deliver 10 shocks at 150J, or 20 minutes of continuous operation.
To charge your Avive Connect AED, simply plug the USB Charging Cable into your device.
When plugged into the charger, you will see the Status Light on your device blink once every second while actively charging, or double blink twice every ~15 seconds once it is fully charged. You will also see a charging battery icon on the top right of your device’s screen while plugged in.
Battery Statuses on REALConnect:
You can keep track of your device’s AED Battery and Connectivity Battery levels remotely in REALConnect to ensure your device stays Emergency Ready and receive notifications any time a battery level gets low. REALConnect will display the following options if either of your batteries is low or depleted:

AED Battery Low: Your device’s lifesaving AED battery is low. Charge the device to ensure your device is Emergency Ready.
- Connectivity Battery Depleting Soon / Depleted: The battery that powers the Screen and Internet Connectivity features on your device is low or depleted. As long as the lifesaving AED Battery remains Good, the device will remain Emergency Ready.
Battery Statuses on your device:
To see full battery information, navigate to "Your Device" > "Status" menu.
- If your AED battery is Good, the Status Light will blink green and your device is Emergency Ready!
- If your lifesaving AED Battery is low, the Status Light will blink red.
