Battery Statuses on REALConnect:
-
AED Battery Low: Your device’s lifesaving AED battery is low. Charge the device to ensure your device is Emergency Ready.
-
Connectivity Battery Depleting Soon: The battery that powers the Screen and Internet Connectivity services on your device is low, and the device should be charged to ensure the screen maintains power and the device stays connected to REALConnect. This is completely independent from the lifesaving AED Battery, and so long as the lifesaving AED Battery remains Good, the device will remain Emergency Ready.
- Connectivity Battery Depleted: The battery that powers the Screen and Internet Connectivity services on your device is depleted, and the device should be charged to regain screen function and re-connect with REALConnect. This is completely independent from the lifesaving AED Battery, and so long as the lifesaving AED Battery remains Good, the device will remain Emergency Ready.
To charge your Avive Connect AED, simply plug the USB Charging Cable into your device.
Battery Statuses on your device:
If the Status Light on your Avive Connect AED is blinking green, that means that your Lifesaving AED Battery is Good and your device is ready to use!
- If the Status Light is blinking red, your lifesaving AED Battery is low and needs to be charged.
- If your Connectivity Battery is Depleting soon, you will see an exclamation mark notification on the center of your device’s home screen, and an Upcoming Issue in REALConnect.
- Finally, if your Connectivity Battery is Depleted, your device will appear as Not Connected in REALConnect and the screen will not have power. Plug your device into its charger to regain screen power.
NOTE: As long as your lifesaving AED Battery is Good, your AED will still operate in an emergency.
When plugged into the charger, you will see the Status Light on your device blink once every second while actively charging, or double blink twice every ~15 seconds once it is fully charged. You will also see a charging battery icon on the top right of your device’s screen while plugged in.
If you are not seeing any of these behaviors when your Avive Connect AED is plugged into the charger, please follow these steps:
1. To confirm if there is an issue with your device and/or its charging cable, please try the following items:
- Confirm that your wall outlet is working. Where possible, plug in another device and charging cable into the wall outlet to confirm the outlet you are using is working.
- Confirm you are using an Avive USB Charging Cable and Avive USB Power Adapter. You should see a green light on your wall adapter.
- If you have confirmed your wall outlet is working, but do not see the green light on your Avive USB Power Adapter, contact Avive Customer Support using one of the methods below.
- If you do not have another Avive USB Charging Cable and Avive USB Power Adapter, try a laptop or phone charging cable that has a USB-C connection.
