You can customize the Power Mode settings on your Avive Connect AED to tailor your devices's connectivity performance depending on your desired use.
Low Power Mode is designed to help you conserve the screen and connectivity battery on your Avive Connect AED. In Low Power Mode, Nearby Emergency Alerts and other functionalities will only be available when the device is connected to a charger. The battery dedicated to use of the screen power and internet connectivity features will typically last 9-12 months in Low Power Mode.
High Power Mode is intended to help you receive faster Nearby Emergency Alerts if you live in a 4 Minute Community or PAD+ community. It also optimizes the responsiveness of your device's connectivity features, such as Nearby Emergency Alerts, Refresh Location, Lost Mode, and more. The battery dedicated to use of the screen power and internet connectivity features will typically last 2-3 months in High Power Mode.
How to adjust your Power Mode Setting
To update the Power Mode Settings on your Avive Connect AED, navigate to Settings > Power on your device’s screen. Select your desired Power Mode.
To update the Power Mode Settings for your devices remotely, you can do so from REALConnect™ if you are a user with Administrator permissions. Ensure that your devices are operating on Connectivity Software 2.5 or above to receive the Power Mode settings remotely.
Step 1: In REALConnect, navigate to Organization Settings > Fleet Settings > and scroll down to view Power Modes.
Step 2: Click the blue “Edit” button, and make your selection. Check the “Apply settings to all devices” box to send the Power Mode to all AEDs in your fleet. Leaving this box unchecked means the setting applies only to new devices added to your organization.
Step 3: To receive the Power Mode selection, your devices must sync with REALConnect™, which should happen during your devices’ next nightly self tests. Allow at least 24 hours for your devices to receive the Power Mode settings. To sync your settings right away, navigate to the “Your Device” menu on the screen of your Avive Connect AED and press “Sync Now.”
Important Note: Low Power and High Power Mode only refer to the settings that power your screen and internet connectivity. They have no impact on your device's ability to administer treatment. Your lifesaving AED battery will still last up to 8.5 months until Battery Low, regardless of your Power Mode configuration.
