Each Avive Connect AED comes with cellular, GPS, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Adding a Wi-Fi network is a good practice since it will allow you to access the device's full feature set, including enhanced location information and a better battery life.
You'll know if your AED is connected to Wi-Fi by viewing the icons at the top of the screen.
Setting up Wi-Fi on your device:
Step 1. Power on your device's screen by pressing the black display button.
Step 2. Next, navigate to the "Settings" menu item on the screen.
Step 3. Select "Wi-Fi" and making sure the Wi-Fi toggle is green for ON.
Step 4. Your device will automatically search for available networks and display the options in a list. Select the network you'd like to connect to, enter the password when prompted, and press "Join."
Setting up Wi-Fi for your devices remotely in REALConnect™:
Note: Your devices must be operating on Connectivity Software Version 2.5 or above to receive Wi-Fi credentials remotely. Only users with Administrator permissions have the ability to add fleet-wide Wi-Fi networks.
Step 1: In REALConnect, navigate to Organization Settings > Fleet Settings > and scroll down to view Wi-Fi Settings.
Step 2: Click the blue “Add Networks” button, enter the Network name and password, and select “Save.” You can add up to 15 Wi-Fi networks remotely. Your devices will automatically connect to the nearby network with the strongest signal.
Step 3: To receive the Wi-Fi credentials, your devices must sync with REALConnect™, which should happen during your devices’ next nightly self tests. Allow at least 24 hours for your devices to receive the Wi-Fi credentials. To sync your settings right away, navigate to the “Your Device” menu on the screen of your device and press “Sync Now.”
Please note, the Avive Connect AED can only connect to password-protected WPA/WPA2 Wi-Fi Networks. View all Wi-Fi requirements here.
