Alert Radius Settings let users with 4MC Administrator permissions customize the default Alert Radius for their entire jurisdiction and create Alert Radius Zones for specific areas within their community. The Alert Radius is the distance around an emergency within which devices will receive a Nearby Emergency Alert.
Only users with 4MC Administrator permissions can update the Alert Radius for the entire jurisdiction or create specific Alert Radius Zones in REALConnect.
To change the default alert radius for your entire jurisdiction:
- In REALConnect, go to the Organization Settings Page > Response Ready Settings.
- Click the edit icon inside the Jurisdiction Alert Boundary module on the right to change or edit the default alert radius for your community.
- Type in a value (in miles) for your desired alert radius, and click the green check mark to save.
