Is the Avive Connect AED fully automatic or semi-automatic?
The Avive AED is fully automatic, so when deemed appropriate, it will deliver a shock on its own. This means that the device will analyze the patient’s heart rhythm, and if a shock is advised, the AED will say so audibly and instruct the bystanders to stand back with no physical contact with the victim and deliver a shock on its own.

Are there temperature restrictions related to the batteries in my Avive Connect AED?
The Avive Connect AED’s operating and storage temperature ranges are designed and tested with battery considerations in mind.
The optimal battery charging temperature for your device is between 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C).
Once the environmental temperature exceeds the device’s operating range, notifications are provided:
1. On the device
2. On the RealConnect Platform, and
3. Optionally over text or email.
In extreme temperatures outside of the device storage range, the device will shut down to protect the battery.
Can the Avive Connect AED get wet?
While the Avive Connect AED has an IP Rating of 54, do not let liquids get onto the Avive Connect AED. Dry the device off immediately with a cloth or towel if it gets wet.
What defibrillation waveform does the Avive Connect AED use?
The Avive Connect AED delivers an impedance-compensating, biphasic truncated exponential (BTE) waveform configurable for both adult and pediatric therapy. The waveform dynamically adjusts to optimize energy delivery to a wide range of patient impedances.
Both the adult and pediatric waveforms use a non-escalating energy delivery protocol of 150 Joules and 50 Joules respectively.
